Heyo! First things first, lemme just say that the artwork I have over the past couple years on this site has been phenomenal! Kudos, you guys! Well done! Watching all this awesomeness going down always makes my blood boil. Seeing that there are literally HUNDREDS of people whom are leagues better than me at drawing, sketching, etc always gives me a rush of confidence to always try harder, to try and surpass my own limitations to become even greater. And boy lemme tell ya, is it working. Such raw energy, such talent that has found a place to thrive and call home to erupt and explode like a hypernova, it's beyond beautiful.
Oh, how silly of me, I haven't even introduced myself yet, have I? My name is Santana Sweeting, proud Bahamian male and anime artist of 13 years, well 8 years. ^///^ The first five were of drawing stick figures and whatnot, but anyway! I've met tons of people whom have made a great impact on my life and my way of art. They have taught me that one does not simply pick up a pencil and draw, no, you must FEEL it. Emotion is everything when we artists work. No emotion and it's not really art, it's more work or simply forcing yourself to do something. I learned that the hard way.
It all started in primary school, then as the years passed, my skill increased dramatically from drawing stick figures to cars and vehicles in general, during the end of 6th grade was when things kicked off. I got started on drawing anime. It's not as easy as you think it is..... If you're just starting out, you're gonna screw up a few times. Ok, a LOT of times. You're gonna snap your pencils, you're gonna rip your sketch book in half in anger, you're gonna slam your head into a wall........ Your pencil tips are going to break at the worst moment..... But you WILL get better if you keep at it.
Well that's enough preaching, as I said before, Heyo to all my new artist family members!
